In a Clearing

Part 2 of Spring Digital Production

Premiering on YouTube, April 9, 2021, 7pm.

Choreography by Karl Watson

Video to premiere April 9, 2021, at 7pm.

Choreographer Karl Watson describes In a Clearing as a 3-part piece processing the shared emotional journey that many of us have had over the past year. This reflective piece begins with expression of anxiety, stress, and uncertainty, but the tension resolves in finding a sense of clarity, peace, and even a sense of self in spite of it all.

“This has been such a unique and profound experience, and everyone’s journey throughout this past year has been really different. I wanted to come to terms with a lot of tragedy, stress, and anxiety of the past year and find some sense of peace to reflect and move forward.”
